A rare opening for an experienced Technical Pre-sales Engineer (HSE, MPLS, IPv6, 5G, SDN/NFV) to join a global leading provider of Network & Security Service Assurance Solutions. Our client remains at the forefront of innovation with proven deployed solutions, on premise and SaaS, into 5G, Virtualisation, Security & Cloud industry needs. With a consistent record of investing in new technology development they continue to grow, ensuring their diversification and positioning them ahead of the curve.


Due to demand and growth of the Regional Sales Team they have a brand new opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer to assume lead Pre-sales responsibilities for end to end solutions within a prestigious Tier 1 Mobile Operator account




Requirements

 

 

  • 5 years+ technical experience in Telecommunications / data communications or security industry.
  • Technical skills in networking, networking security, 3G/4G/5G Mobile edge and core 
  • Technical skills and hands-on experience in IP and ethernet technologies (VLAN, QOS), High speed ethernet, L4-L7 technologies, cloud services, virtualization, Openflow & SDN/NFV.
  • Access protocol knowledge, both IPv4 and IPv6
  • Routing protocol knowledge, both IPv4 and IPv6 including BGP, OSPF, ISIS
  • MPLS protocol knowledge (RSVP-TE, LDP, Segment Routing)
  • Willing to travel in EMEA on an as needed base


The Job

  • Support the Regional Sales Managers and partners as a technical GoTo person to drive and own the technical part of an opportunity.
  • Understand customer business needs and be able to reflect business benefit through proposed solutions using a consultative approach.
  • Solution development, technical presentations, design documentation and acting as the SME throughout the Sales process.
  • Participation in project specification process, working between Sales and Engineering
  • Leading Proof of Concepts
  • Post-sales support and running customer training when required.
