The RAN Systems Engineering role is a brand new position created to further enhance their ability and ambition to adopt and serve the latest technology innovations. Working within their lab environment, the RAN System Engineer will be responsible for network design and test activities to support latest innovations in AR, AI and connected IoT devices, and future business initiatives.

To succeed in this 5G RAN System Engineer role you will have:

• Strong knowledge of end-to-end 4G and/or 5G Radio Access Networks
• Knowledge and experience of wider mobile core network and transport network in relation to operability with the RAN
• Experience gained within a lab environment, introducing, integrating and testing the latest 4G / 5G network technologies and devices
• Experience of ORAN, Small Cells or DAS technologies desirable but not essential
• Root cause analysis and troubleshooting skills such as the use of tcpdump/Wireshark
• Linux Scripting skills
• IP Networking experience
• Experience of Telco DevOps, test automation, network orchestration, CI/CD, cloud technologies beneficial but not essential

Working in a lab environment, the RAN Systems Engineer will be responsible for designing and running simulated Radio Access Networks for broad industry verticals and environments. Exposed to diverse user cases, for current and future innovations, this is a great opportunity to get ones hands dirty with the latest technologies and Mobile/IoT gadgets.
